Speaker Timer Triggered Via MIDI Data
A simple solution than can integrate into countless systems. This custom coded timer runs on a Raspberry Pi and through a set of MIDI commands can start, stop, hide, or show using an everyday computer monitor. While similar items on the market costs thousands and are small in size, this solution costs a fraction and can scale to be seen from a stage hundreds of feet away.
Eye Catching Guitars
Cirque Du Soleil’s production of Volta was flashy and colorful, but the instruments did not match the feel of the show. The existing Fender guitars needed to be updated visually and sonically to bring them up to the show’s standards. From the graphic design, to the custom wound pickups, I handled every step of this project. Including the challenging logistics of sending and receiving instruments on a touring production and maintaining the busy 10+ shows a week schedule. The end result were flashy instruments that matched the costumes and color palettes, while sonically fitting in perfectly with M83’s beautiful music for the show.
